This is the second year in a row that I have had the chance to go on a "hiking" trip with my mom. I grew up hiking the trails of northern Minnesota, paddling around Lake Superior and then setting up tent for the night (not always in campgrounds). Our hiking trips these days are nothing close to that! Yes, we love to canoe, hike and explore, but enjoy staying in a nice little cottage along the lake shore.
